The bike in the video has only done 300 miles. So unless it's had its oil changed it will be running petroleum based running in oil that is very thin to help piston rings seal. I'm sure when the run in period has been completed and 10w50 oil is applied it will have a better performance. I have a Husqvarna Vitpilen 125 same engine and im running in at the moment it can do 53mph in 4th but only 60 in 6th.

A pair of aux lights with a can smart would be a nice addition for all weather touring. & a lower engine / sump guard would look nice.

I owned a 2008 model R1. The same model Nick Sanders toured the world on and I was inspired by him so decided to tour the UK on mine. 2 weeks and nearly 4000 miles later turns out I'm not Nick Sanders and an R1 is not a good bike to tour on. 😢

Kinda scary not to use clutch during high speed tbh. Does the clutch lever helps you out when you want to try to brake while e-clutch is on?

Complete beginner here, never even been on a motorbike or even a moped! I am 30, full driving license and excited to get my full motorcycle training/test package booked soon. I was just wondering from you experienced riders, would this be a good bike to get as a first time rider, or is it too powerful? I see alot of the power was at the top end of the rev range so may be a little better for those not used to riding? All comments welcome, thanks in advance!

Not a bike for me, but I would - almost happily - soil myself on a test ride on one of those.... It looks mean, it sounds mean, and it knows how to react when you twist the throttle. I envy your test ride on it. 👍⭐👍

Brilliant piece of kit, bur probably not suited to my 64 year old body and the back roads of Northumberland but it sounds awesome.

They should have put the money eclutch on a beginner bike like the CB500 or something. The updates also look worse than the old one I think, especially the huge cancer on the side of the engine (eclutch), headlight and tail light, the new air snorkels and the shroud around the front of the tank is black now instead of painted the same colour as the tank. The LCD also looks worse than the old one but has some functionality so it’s a tradeoff I suppose. They should’ve added RBW throttle, up and down QS standard equipment and that’s it. Oh well, when I saw this bike released I went out and bought a brand new 2022 CB650R for a discounted price. Done 3,200km on it so far and love it. Fantastic bike. No regrets. I also got an aftermarket tune smooth fuelling. I did order a QS but I’ve been waiting 4 months and it still hasn’t arrived so I might cancel the order. I don’t think I need it anyway.

I finally realized that the UK uses the same speed measurement as USA. We are the only major countries in the world that use "MPH" as a measure for speed. I guess only 9% of the world uses "miles per hour." That's awesome. All this time, I was wondering why the English motorcycle channels kept saying "miles per hour" because it didn't make sense in a metric country. How does that work exactly? Is distance the only thing in the UK that isn't metric?

What a noise that CP4 makes. Probably one of the only bikes (R1, MT-10) I’d buy just for the engine.

R7 is better and more enjoyable for English roads

I've been using a 23 R1 since Feb 24, just touched 6000 miles , put heli bar riser on, ride all day no worries, its just Fun, I know it makes no sense on the road, but whi cares, it's hilarious.

Bonkers for us Tracer 9 GT riders! But looking forward to seeing the rumoured R9 to replace it as the main road bike.
